What happens if the QMC machine is down?

Greetings everyone

One of our customer has the QMC and the Publisher installed in the same machine, Server and webserver in another machine.

The customer is planning on upgrading the hardware of the Publisher machine.

Since the QMC is on that same machine.

What will happen to the users that will log to the Access Point during the down period?

Will the server still be able to assign Named and Session CAL to users logging in?

Will all services be down?

I guess we will need to reapply LEFs and migrate all tasks to the QMC installed on the new machine correct?

Thanks a lot

Hi,

The QVS and website will work without any issues. They will work off the configuration files (their work orders) until they get new orders. QVS doesn't need QMC for licenses.

Remember the QMC is just a place to easily manage all the configuration files.
