Scatter Chart - Display Bubble When Condition is Met

I have defined a scatter chart as follows:

  • X: Longitude
  • Y: Lattitude
  • Z: Bubble Size

Goal: To display bubbles only when the values in one column are NOT NULL or NOT empty (ie display values when a column has numeric value).

My assumption - I have to edit Z: Bubble Size definition.
Problem: It seems that whatever I enter into Bubble Size expression does not have effect on a chart - I even left the expression field empty, and still got the same visualisation as when I typed for example "1"

Can anyone explain why is this happening, and help me to display bubbles only when the condition is met (values in one column are numeric values - they are not NULL and not empty strings).

Thanks!

Dragan,

Logically is X or Y is null you won't see anything relevant

Are you trying something with google maps ?

Hi chrisianj!

I shoudl emphasize that X is longitude, Y is lattitude, Z is Bubble size.
When calculating Z there is completely another column (let's call it for example "Column C").

bubbles have to be displayed ONLY WHEN "Column C" has numeric values (and not NULL or empty string).

Yes - it is scatte chart on top of an image from google maps.
