Input Box has checkboxes

I have the selection appearance for my document set to 'LED Check Boxes' because it looks best for most of my controls. However, the check boxes are also showing up on my Input Box, and I don't see an option to override this in the Presentation tab of the input box properties. What can I do to get rid of the check boxes for this one object?

I'm using my input box as a drop-down list, so I'm trying to avoid checkboxes altogether. I think having the blank checkboxes for a drop-down looks bad:

I agree, looks like a bug to me.

I haven't found an option to control this for the input box neither.

Haven't noticed this before, since I am not using the LED checkboxes style as default (and setting this style per chart, not as default, won't show this issue for the input box).

I would suggest creating a support ticket if you don't get a solution here.
