"no server" message in access point

Hi,

We have Qlikview 11 installed on our test server. It's all been working fine before previous weekend (which I assume was a Windows update weekend).

Now when I open access point I always see red "no server" message.

As suggested on the web, I checked that QVWS has QVS in server connections for access point and it does.

I can see an error in qlikview event log: "Account: Failed to create account IQVS_CITYFIOS, Access is denied."

This error occurs when I restrart the Qlikview Server service on the server.

Any idea what that might be caused by?

Any hepl will be much appreciated.

Regards,

Igor

Hi Igor,

have you check on qmc > status > services, how's the status? is that running?

can you try to reinsert account to your qlikview services?

your problem on your server or your test server?

Hi Igor,

I am having a similar issue - if the QVS service restarts, I get a 'No Server' message in Access Point.

I have found that restarting the QlikView Distribution Service makes Access Point respond properly again.

Hello Gents,

This might sound dumb, but check your path specially the one that carry your PGOs files, make sure that there is full right.  When you have services spitted make sure to use UNC paths and if all the services are in one single machine, including the document folder, best to use letter paths.
