Instalation problem

I installed Qlik Sense on Win 8.1 (12GB RAM). App needs 3 minutes to start and returns Could not Reach http://localhost:4848/hub with error (-118). "

Microsoft Firewall is off.

Antivirus is off.

Any ideas?

It is a communication problem

netstat returns:

TCP    127.0.0.1:50538        NAPS-2:4848            SYN_SENT

TCP    127.0.0.1:50539        NAPS-2:4848            SYN_SENT

no session is established inspite the fact that security is turned off

Still trying to find the obsticles

Any chance do you have fixed (by policy) hosts in

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

that make localhost pointing to any other site actually?

Everithing is OK here

#	127.0.0.1       localhost

Like Miguel requested, to "TELNET" your localhost to port 4848, if you see the blank screen with a blinker on top that mean the port is open, if you get an error, 4848 is not open and maybe a policy, etc.

Also can you try with the Ip address instead the "localhost" .

It looks all of that was a Windows problem. On the fresh installation everything works fine
