QlikView ODBC Connection Gives ORA-01019 ERROR

I downloaded a personal version of QlikView. When I try to create an ODBC Connection to an Oracle 11.2 databse, I get an Oracle ORA-01019 Error and cannot save the connection. This Oracle errors refers to lack of local memory. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Howard,

Have you checked if it works in other programs?

Ensure you are using it as a System DSN and that the service account is a local administrator.

Erik

I managed to get it to work on an XP 32 bit platform instead of Win 7.

Still working on the 64 bit version.

Thank-you

Hi Howard,

How did you manage to get it to work?

Might be of interest to other users.

On XP I just followed the instructions in QlikView to set up a 32 bit ODBC connection – there were no problems at all and I could see al me ERP tables.

Apparently the WIN 7 64 bit ODBC Driver is giving me problems with its configuration. Not really sure why.

Thanks
