Why do QlikView services go down?

Hi

I am running my documents on a QlikView server and just recently I have encountered an error in the QEMC that the QlikView server services went down. This caused Access Point to detect no server and no documents were displayed for access.

The main solution to this was to either restart the service in question or stop it then start is again.

I wanted to know:

1. What causes for a QlikView service to go down?

2. How can this be prevented and monitored more effectively?

The main resource of knowledge is Windows Event Monitor and QlikView Server logs, located by default in C:\ProgramData\QlikTech

Apart from that, which version of Windows OS and QlikView Server are you running?

Any chance you are running out of memory or disk space?

Dear Rajesh,

Seeing that you call the QMC to 'QEMC' it gives me the impression you still have V10, if that the case it wise to start thinking about upgrading since V10 iwill be out of support within 3 months from now.

Like the other gentlemen described, to check the Qlikview server logs and I would also check the windows application and system event logs.
