Hi,

Yes its very much possible.

But you need to be very careful while linking cause wrong linking may give performance issue also improper data.

Hi Rovika,

It depends on number of different factors,

1,Number of fact tables

2.Number of joins you have in your existing data model.

thanks,

ok....so how would I go about linking the 2 models?

EG: My data in the one model is based on finances and in the other model on data quality....but the same client and key fields are used.

The finance model is already too large for me to add the 2 part to it, so I want to build the data quality model and then link the two.

1 Identify your comman dimension tables in both data models.

2 If fact tables have same struct concatenate them ,otherwise use link tables.

3 you should be very careful avoid issues like circular ref, synthetic keys.
