No "play" button in QEMC

I am missing the "play" button in QEMC, so I can not manually start a task. The Status - Task list is also empty.

How can I fix this? I've already tried to restart all services on QV server

Are you by any chance using IE6? I think the Play feature (and several other features) doesn't work with IE6--you need to use 7 or 8.

I am using IE8. It worked earlier today, but suddenly the play buttons just disappeared.

It started with a task that didn't end - I couldn't stop it either. After that I restarted all services on server.

Is it a blank area that is still clickable--meaning, is it just the picture that is missing? What is the alt-text when you mouse over where the picture should be (is it "Run this task" or "placeholder.png)? Can you see the task on the Status tab?

Check C:\Program Files\QlikView\Management Service\QEMC\SourceDocuments.htm at Line 175. The line should read:

<img style="cursor: pointer;" width="16" src="/QMCCommon/Images/start.png" alt="Run Task"
. If the width has changed to 0 then the pic would disappear...Also check that start.png exists in the Image folder.

There is a blank non clickable area without a roll over text.

The line in SourceDocuments is there but I can not find a start.png in C:\Program Files\QlikView\Management Service\QEMC\Images.

I tried to create copy Task.png, rename it to start.png and see if there was a difference in QEMC - No difference.

I have also reinstalled QV Server (v. 9.00.7320) - I really don't know what I can do to find a solution.

Actually, start.png should exist in this folder: C:\Program Files\QlikView\Management Service\QMCCommon\Images. Is it possible that the NTFS permissions changed accidentally on some QlikView program files so that the Publisher account no longer has read access on pngs or htms? The account is a local admin, right?

When I switch over from Repository SQL Server to XML it works again.

Do you know how to connect from QEMC to a Publisher SQL server (QVPR) without overwriting the existed one?

Interesting, must be repository corruption. You can connect without overwriting just by making sure the "Migrate data from current repository" checkbox is unchecked.

My Status task list also appears and disappears mysteriously. One minute it's there, showing a list of scheduled tasks. The next minute it's completely blank. Seems to disappear/reappear when I adjust document reload schedules. But this is pretty annoying...

Do you use "Preload Document in Sever memory" option Always or Restricted for any of your tasks? When I stoped to do this my tasks appeared in the task list again
