Oracle Oledb 64bit Failed on Qlikview Server QMC Reload

Dear Community Expert,

Need help, as we just change our connection string from OraOLEDB 32bit to 64bit version,

and it is success to reload on Qlikview desktop, unfortunately failed when reload from QMC,

Is there any kind of setting for QMC to enable this 64bit connector?

and why can be success on desktop but not on qmc on the same machine.

We use Qvs 11.2 SR7

Rgds,

Alex

Consider it solved,

As we try to remove old driver 32bit.

so now it only run 1 new ORAOLEDB 64bit driver.

if there was 2 driver before, somehow the Qlikview server keep pointing to old first one,

though the personal edition can use both.

I believe somewhere in windows registry must be edited if need both driver exists for Qvs.

Alex

Hi,

Just make sure that the service account you use to run task have read permission to your database.

Thanks ASHFAQ,

I don't think that was about permission to db, since it can be reload from personal edition on server.

Seems like qmc didn't recognize the new oraoledb 64bit.

Or maybe this is because we have 2 version 32bit and 64bit oraoledb installed?

Hi,

I strongly suggest to make sure that service account have permission to database for scheduling tasks.

I agree that you can work with local client without any issue.
