my customer is curently upgrading from QVS 8.5 to QVS 9.0. QVS 8.5 is still runing in the prod environment and the QVS 9.0 is being tested on another server (same network). The two servers have different serial numbers.
According to my customer, when they apply the license on their new QVS 9.0 the QVS 8.5 is stopping. The only reason I can see for a server to halt when another one is starting is if they use the same serial, which is not the case here.
Are you aware of such a problem ? I think they are doing something wrong but It is my first 8.5 to 9.0 migration so I may have missed something.

Which services are stopping? And what is the associated message. Is it "Disconnected" or "Off Duty"? Or do the services just disappear from QEMC?
