Fit Zoom to Window Document Extension

I've gotten a lot of requests for this extension, and it's not perfect, but hopefully it will work for what is needed.

Since there is no "Fit Zoom to Window" option for WebView, I've created a document extension that automatically zooms the QVW contents to fit the browser window.

This extension does not work in Opera since Opera doesn't seem to support zooming or scaling using CSS.  Besides that though, I tested it in all the major browsers and it seemed to work fine.

I dont think we do have settings for the extensions in the QMC. Can you give more details on this?

Hello @all,

Could it be true that the JS code doesn't work for all Server Versions? I have Version 6.2.9200, it works brilliant within QV Desktop but not in the Browser, although I copied the Extension to the right Folder on the Server, enabled it in QMC, set the right folder in QMC...

Would be so so happy if anyone could respond 🙂

Hi Brian

Excellent document extension

Just what I was looking for

Works great on desktop however on the server QlikView documents cannot see the extension in the settings

I have manually saved it into the server path C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer\Extensions\Document

(Security is set to allow extensions and the objects extensions work ok in Extensions\Objects)

Is there any reason the document extensions would not show in the document settings for installed extensions?

regards

John

We had a similar issue. This was corrected by using the Alternative Path in publisher:

System -> QlikView Servers -> Folders

So i presume you've already dblClicked the .qar file and manually moved the extension to the extensions folder?

Also try to open the application with ajax (full browser version)

Yes, I manually moved the extensions (creating the new 'Document' folder)

when open the QVW the Extension is not available in Settings/document properties/extensions/installed extensions to enable it to be added to active extensions

& you double clicked the qar file?

Yes, extracted the files from the qar then copied the extracted files to the Document folder
