Qlik Sense Desktop launching issue

Hi,

I installed Qlik sense Desktop on my laptop running windows 8.1 (64bit). When i launch the Qlik Sense Desktop Application, the App will open with the error description as attached.

What can i do to fix it?

Hi Abdi - this is common when a proxy is in use.

Can you check this post and see if this resolves your issue?

You need to bypass the proxy for locahost.

Hi Abdl,

This is related to how Desktop communicates with your machine.

Please try the following:

• Use FireFox or Chrome - and access via http://localhost:4848/hub
• Check your internet connection settings and see if bypass proxy for localhost is checked (if not do so)

Please send screenshot of the internet connection settings.

Just for clarity - your original screen shot DID show a proxy:

So - I am almost positive it is related to this.
