User Name on Report With a Catch

Hello,

I would like to have a text box that will have the users name in it based on who the report is distributed to.  The report will be distributed by a 3rd party and we do not have access to the roster that they will be distributing the report to.

Is there any way that I can display the users name?

Thank You

Hi!

You want to show recipient in text-box and you don't know the recipient?

Then it's impossible.

Would OSUser() in a textbox work?

According to specs it wont work. They send bulk report to someone, third party vendor. Third party vendor sends it out without Qlikview (otherwise cals needed). So they might convert it to pdf and send it by email...

Do you have all users in your app? If so when reduced it will only be one record left.

Then: Only(User) in a box could work.

"we do not have access to the roster that they will be distributing the report to"

Third party could even take photographs, on a wooden table, from report and send it to their relatives...

I thought we were talking QlikView?

Read again the original question.

They send QV report to somebody. That somebody sends it forward to unknown recipient. And now they want that unknown recipients name on report... And they have no way of knowing who that final recipient is.
