Bar chart legend settings

Hello,

Is there a way to change the position of the legend in a bar chart object? The legend appears on the right-hand side of the chart and the only options I see for making changes are to position it at the top, middle or bottom. I would like to position the legend across the top of the chart (as in PowerPoint) instead of the right-hand side. This will allow my chart to become wider.

Hello Breese.

Press Ctrl+Shift combination on Active Bar Chart. and you will see red lines with boarder of parts your charts. You can drag part with legend and move it to new position.

Your suggestion worked and I now have the legend across the top. I would also like to center the legend across the top. However, when I have the red borders showing, it only allows me to size the legend vertically but not horizontally. I can't seem to find another way to force the legend to be centered across the top. Any ideas?

You can resize the legend vertically and horizontally. But you can't to force the legend to center automatically you can to move legend by drag and drop only.
