I have a strait table and i want to make the values within columns filterable. For instance, if a select a value then the whole table filters on that particular value. How is this achieved?? I do not want to have a list box for this.
Can you elaborate little more please? if possible, please give one small example
Yes. Lets say that my table looks like this:
Geography Name Sales
Texas John 24
Texas Jim 18
New Mexico Jen 20
Arizona Jerry 18
and so I select 'Texas', then i see
Of cource, you will get only Texas data once you select Texas... What is your question?
So my issue is that if i Select Texas, then I am only getting one row returned and not all of the Texas rows
Provide your table dimension and expressions...
So name is my dimension and all of the other columns are expressions
What is the expression for Geography ?
it is just the field name
Remove Geography from expression and place it as a Dimension
Use set analysis for current selection.write the set analysis in straight table whatever you want filter condition
come up with little bit clear
If you slect texas by default it will give output how you need.tell me wats your exact requirement
So my issue is that when i select Texas, I am just getting back one row of Teas....not all of the Texas values, which is what I want
Retrieving data ...
