DSC service disconnected

Hello everyone,

Since this weekend, the status of the DSC service is disconnected.

This means that in the document tab, I cannot see anymore to who the CALs are assigned. It's like no CALs were assigned at all in QMC.

What is weird is that I tried to log on Access Point with a simple user who has a CAL for one QV and it works, this person still can access the QV.

What should I do ? I have already tried to restart the services...

Thanks for your help

Hi

DSC is something responsible for your Active directory or any other directory.

This is the case with document cals. You will see only document cals here.

If not I think your .pgo files are corrupted or you may need to contact support for the same.

I think this works because user already allocated, You may not add new users.

You need to check the logs to see why DSC is not starting.

Hope it helps

thanks for your answer Ashfaq.

Do you know how something like that can happen ? I have touched anything...

I have attached the log. It doesn't help me a lot because I don't understand very well the error. What is Snmp listener ?

What could I do to fix my problem?

thanks for your help

Hi,

About the fact that I cannot add new user, I have to say that I have allocated all the documents CALs I had (we have just bought new ones). Might this be related ?

If you don't see any user it may be that you don't have any cal available.  You can check for the users in any other document for which you allocated cal and user previously. I'm sore you will see some.

If you buy new license make sure you update you License.

You can find DSC logs here.

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DirectoryServiceConnector\Log

Hope it helps

Hi,

Indeed, in some document, I can see how many CAls are allocated but not to who.

I have attahed the log. Because I am not able to find a solution... What is snmp listener ?

And also, when I go to some document in the document tab, it sometimes written in red "Document CALs are not applicable. Reason:"

Hi,

I think some ports are blocked.

Can you try by disabling firewall.
