merge two .shared files

All,

I want to move latest version of qvw file from dev to prod.

I dont want to loose my users objects in dev sharedfile.

So can i add them to the existing prod shared file.

Unfortunately, there is no way to combine two separate shared files in one, or move object from one shared file to the other.

Hi Karthikeyan,

I have a similar requirement for combining the .Shared file. Just wanted to check with you if you were able to find any solution to the problem. Please ley me know if you have something.

In principle, when you copy a newer version of an existing document (just the QVW) to Production, and you give it the same name as the previous version, the existing shared objects file (and the meta file) of the old release will be used whenever a user visits the new document in the AccessPoint.

In that case, do NOT copy the shared objects file from Development to Production, as you will be overwriting a good one with an empty one.

I haven't heard about a method capable of merging two sets of shared objects. Sorry.

I don't think you can club two .shared files
