Reloading Data on Server

Hi I have a finished dashboard that connects to a SQL server.  Everything works on my machine, I have a button to drive a macro to refresh like this :

Sub Reload

ActiveDocument.reload

End Sub

I have the ODBC source created on the server but pressing my button when the file is opened on the server in IE does nothing.  What is the best way to automatically refresh data?

If you have publisher you can schedule the document,, otherwise schedule with windows task scheduler

Reload Action or function works only on desktop client and not on server.

Server doesn't have publisher that I can see.  From looking around myself it would seem the solution is to use a batch file and reload?  Isn't there a way to set the document to refresh every 2 hours?

in server we can trigger the reload daily for every 2 hours..so that automatically the task will run and reload will be done.

You can schedule the task to reload from QlikView Server, you do not need to use macros on QV Server to reload data. Publisher provides additional task options for reloading / distribution and additional security options but a standard server system has the reload task included.

Look at the document properties on the QMC and you can configure the reload options on the Reload tab.

go to Documents tab on your server (QMC QLik Management Console),

choose a document,

on the right choose the reload tab

schedule
