Qlik sense server setup 1.0.1.0 - Environment error

Qlik sense server setup 1.0.1.0 - Environment error

Hi,

I am trying to install Qlik Sense Server 1.0.1.0 on my local machine.

Machine details :-

O.S. - Windows 7 (64 bit)

Microsoft .Net framework 4.5

Earlier I had installed the same version of Sense which is now uninstalled.

When I try to install QV Sense Server 1.0.1.0 once again, it gives me an error - "qlik sense server setup 1.0.1.0 - Environment error"

PS: Qlik Sense Desktop & QV 11 Desktop is working on the same machine.

Here's the log file.

Thanks for your help!!

Do not know how it will work in this case, but Qlik prohibits simultaneous installation qlik sense and qlikview Server in some server. Try deinstall QlikView and start install Qlik Sense again

Quanlin,

After uninstalling, did you removed all files left behind by the older version? ( you can back the QVF and restored them back on the app folder)

Besides uninstalling and deleting the c:\programdata\qlik folder  , you'll also need to remove some certificates that Qlik Sense creates (but doesn't uninstall).

Here are the steps to do that. So after uninstall, folder deletion AND the following, go ahead and try to reinstall.

Steps to remove certificates:

  1. Stop Qlik Sense Repository Service (this will also stop the other services)
  2. Open Microsoft Management Console (MMC). Important: Run this as the account configured to run the services (Run as... )
  3. Add snap-in for Certificates: My user account and Local Computer account
  4. In Certificates - Current User > Trusted Root Certification Authorities > Certificates, delete the certificate created by QlikSense, issued by your computer, computer.domain-CA
  5. In Certificates > Current User > Personal > Certificates, delete the certificate named QlikClient
  6. In Certificates (Local Computer) > Personal > Certificates, delete the certificate issued by computer.domain-CA.

Yes, QlikView Server v11.2 SR7 is installed in the same PC. But all the 5 services are stopped.

Quanlin,

Note this is what the support section describes:

Can I install Qlik Sense Server on the same computer where I have QlikView Server 11 or 10?

It is not supported, nor recommended, to install or run Qlik Sense Server on the same server as any version of QlikView Server."
