Upgrade Web Service

We are planning to upgrade Qlikview. We currently have Qlikview on a Rackspace server with an Active Domain. The web service is on  a different cloud server with some Qlikview components. We had a consultant set up the log in process. I know that this won't affect the active Domain, and understand the install process on the main server, but I am unclear on what we need to upgrade on the web service cloud server. any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

If it is running the QlikView Web Server then that is the only QlikView things you have installed, therefore the only QlikView things that needs upgrading.

You say though "QlikView components" though what are these components ?

That make no sense. I am upgrading the main server where the development is loaded. I don’t have a full install of qlickview on the web service, and I don’t know what to install.

What Windows Services that start with QlikView are running on your Web Server ?

I was concerned because I saw this in the folder structure. The one that I can identify is Qlikview Settings Service.

I took screen shots of the other services running.

It does look like Qlikview is installed on this server too, but we do everything on the main server and have never launched Qlikview here. I am new to Qlikview and a small business.

I see you only have the QlikView Settings Service running.  This implies that you are running using IIS and not QlikView Web Server.  Is that correct ?

Yes I see IIS services running.

In that case all you need to upgrade is the QlikView Settings Service.

I reckon you also have QlikView Desktop on the server as well.  If  you do not need it on this server [and I would reckon you do not] then de-install it.

Do double check that the QV version you are upgrading to supports the version of IIS you are running.

So I have never done an upgrade. Do you know where documentation is to upgrade only the Settings Service. I really appreciate the help. Just a little scared the first time and I didn’t think we needed a full install on the 2nd server.
