formula

I have formula

=Sum( {<BMIYEAR={"$(VARIABLEYEAR)"},BMIWEEKNR={"<=$(VARIABLEWEEK)"}>} SALES)

variableyear equals 2013

variableweek equals 2

it gives me sales of year 2013 for weeknr 1 and 2

but if i do

=Sum( {<BMIYEAR={"$(VARIABLEYEAR)"},BMIWEEKNR={"$(VARIABLEWEEK)"}>} SALES)

it doesnot give me sales of year 2013 for week 2, but sales of complete 2013.

What do i wrong?

Nothing.

Are you sure that in your second experiment, VARIABLEWEEK really contained the value 2? Or was it set to something else? Put a text box on your sheet with the following expression to verify the value of this variable:

="VARIABLEWEEK = [$(VARIABLEWEEK)]"

Can you post your document, or a reduced version with the same weird behavior?
