Giving users permission to reload files

Hello

I have a QlikView file that needs to be reloaded every 2 or 3 days - but not at a specific time, after somebody finishes to enter some data in our ERP.

When she finishes, she gives me a call and i have to manually run the reload task. I now there has to be a better way.

So i made a button on the file that runs a macro to reload the file.

The code for the macro is :

sub Reload

ActiveDocument.Reload

end sub

When i open the file and press the button, the file is reloaded. But when i open the file with Open in Server, the button does nothing.

Should i modify some security settings? I have enabled both Allow Macro execution on Server and Allow Unsafe Macro execution on Server on QlikView Management Console -> Server Settings -> Security

Hello Alecsandru,

I can understand that may be Macro not working or something like that.

But apart from this, If you want to give users permission to reload files then please have a glance.

If you want to give the privilege in Document Properties > Security > you can check in Reload.

This will allow user to reload the qlikview file.

Thanks,

Advait
