ODBC read failed

Hi,

I'm having some trouble loading my data into QlikView through ODBC driver / OLEB driver.

Qlikview always toss me an ODBC read failed SQL SELECT bla bla bla FROM `filename`, whenever I reload the data.

Funny thing is, I've the same set of data that has not been modified since day 1 at home and It could load perfectly fine with the exact same script (I copied and paste).

Any experts out there who might have a solution to this? Any help is welcome.

Regards,

Wilson.

I also had a similar problem. This started happening when I downgraded to QV11 SR5 from QV11 SR6 (I do not know if this had any influence in causing the error.)

The error does not appear if I run QV.exe as administartor (by selecting 'Run as Administrator'). I do have administrator privleges to my laptop. When I start QV.exe, the ODBC error results. But when I start QV.exe as administrator, script execution shows no ODBC error.

Hi Wilson,

Even I have the same Problem , Even though the file was fetching the Data perfectly from the DB now suddenly it shows the ODBC Read Failed .What am planning to do is to split each table into separate qvw file and link it in a loop with QMC based on the Successful Reload of another task . Even if this error repeats we could re start the task from were the task has failed.

Hope This might help us.....

Thanks
