How to restrict user so he can only see one document

Hello,

I have couple of documents (sales analysis, movement, etc) and I want to set up restrictions so all the documents are hidden from the user except one (movement). Could someone explain how would I do that?

Thanks

In QlikView Server, if you are using DMS security, just input the users that has access to each document in " QlikView Management Console > User Documents > Authorization " Panel

Is there any way to do it without using DMS security?

Also where can I find more information about DMS security?

Thank you

HI Mremisze

In qlik view security is divided into 4 types namely

1) Active Directory 2) custom Directory 3) Local Directory 4) custom Directory

If you go with all the above except custom directory.

In qlik view security is assigened based on windows security.

so in order to avail security or to distribute all documents to particular users.

go to individual documents --> properties --> security --> edit --> add-->

here add the user whoom you want to give acesses for the document

Thanks anr Regards

If you are using the NTFS security, just make sure the files that are not readable by this particular user dont have access to it. Just right click on the file, go to properties, select security tab and change the permission to Deny for that user.
