accesspoint timeout

Hello All,

Below is scenario.

When user makes selection on on access point ,automatically logged out due to inactivity after 15-20 min.

Moreover also loosed the selections whatever he has made previously.

Our req is to avoid this situation and keep selection as it is on access point report though he has timed out.

So that whenever he logged in able to view selections whatever he has made previously.

Please help me out.

Thanks,

You can enable session recovery, the document should load back where it left off when disconnected.

In the QMC > System > Setup on the Documents tab of the server, enable "Allow Session Recovery"

I agree with Chong on this - session recovery is most likely what you are looking for. Please note that its the document selections that are stores, not any "selections" or searches you are doing on the access points as that is just a presentation area of user available documents.

Both,

Thanks for your response.

But session recovery option is already selected  but we have unchecked session collaboration as we are not using it now.

Thanks

Hi Deepak,

Have you applied any OnOpen triggers in the document? If yes then triggers will override users last selections, otherwise it bydefault retains last selection and last opened sheet in the document.

Hi Deepak,

I would also check the document itself to see if there is a document timeout enabled, if you have both a server timeout and document timeout, the lowest of the two will take effect, which could mean timeouts happening that you are not expecting

hope that helps

Hi,

If you are using IIS don't forget the ASP timeout there.
