Hello!
I am loading an excel table into my QV via an script and I am using it for my objects.
I now want QV to automatically reload the script after a custom time intervall, so that the data is up to date, whereas QV is opened all the time. So a windows task wouldn't slove this problem, if I got it right, because it needs writing permissions and writing is not possible, when the document is opened.
How can I implement that?
This is one of the many things the QlikView Server and Publisher are designed to do.
Do you mean as local document or on the server?
Peter
I would like to do it local, without the use of a server (I should have mention that in my first post). Is it possible?
Will the users be using QlikView Desktop ?
If so then they could manually reload when they want to. I know this is not an auto-reload, but it is very simple.
Please read this
Auto reload every 10 minutes – desktop client | Lucian Cotea
If the document is on the Qlikview Server, can't you just schedule a reload every hour?
The idea is not to use the QV Server but QV Desktop. QV Desktop then should reload the data every, let's say, 30 sec.
