SAP

Hi All,

We are new to Qlikview, our new client got SAP as a Database.  Do we need any separate connectors for this. Initially we want to do some mock-ups to show our client. FYI we are using normal desktop version for the moment(Do not have licence). If we need any connectors, will they work with Unlicensed desktop version. We did some mock-ups in QV with other databases, we are completely new to SAP this means do we need to take any help from SAP Resources. Can anyone help me on this.

Thank you,

Regards,

Ganesh.

Hello Ganesh,

To my knowledge, you indeed need a SAP-connector for you Qlik-application in order to import data from out of SAP in a structured manner.

I'm not sure whether this will work from a desktop-version. As this version only has limited capabilities, I'm pretty sure it won't.

A workaround for a mock-up may be to export your SAP-data into csv-files, and then load them into your Qlikview desktop version.

Info about SAP as a data source:

I don't know of customers who use the (license required) SAP connector with a personal edition.

May you live in interesting times!
