What is the Answer ?

Following is the interview question, which is posed by the interviewer in the recent interview.Would like to know the answer for this.

And also come content on these kind of questions.

  1. There is a schema given, table A to C is one to many and B to C is one to many. What is the relation between A and B
    1. a. One to many
    2. b. Many to many
    3. c. Many to one

Personally think it's a bad question for a QV Developer but this image illustrates the answer.

Orders can have many Products and Products can have many orders.  So this is a many to many relationship.

... unless it is being posed a trick question, as depending on the data and whether the key fields are unique or not it could be any of the three answers.

That was what I initially thought as well.  Unless Table C is defined as a Junction Table it does seem it could be any of the answers.

Depends on how Table C is joining table between A an B... General Scenario it is Many to Many but as Bill said, it could be any answer...
