Publisher - with and without

In v9.0, I'd like to know what life is like in absence of Publisher. I'm fairly new to QlikView and have only seen it in an environment where Publisher exists so I'm trying to better understand what functionality will be missing without Publisher. I'm assuming that they'll at least be able to schedule reloads of the data and publish to Access Point?

Right on the money Kevin. Straight reloads and Accesspoint still run fine on merely the QVS license.

Publisher in turn lets you distribute the correct data to the right people. Reductions, security aspects etc.

Does Reload mean, that the script in the QVW is being executed ??

I have a QVS and a user document that gets its data from an Excel-File.
I've set the reload to a interval of 1 minute... but when the Excel-File is updated, these data won't be updated in QVW ?!

Somebody got me an info ?

Thanks Johannes. In straight QVS, is there still a separation between Source and Distributed documents or does QVS just reload directly into the published document?
