Can't connect to Qlik Sense Desktop

Just downloaded and installed Desktop as a trial.

Installation went fine but now won't connect to the hub.

Not a great advertisement!

Any ideas?

Thanks Mike,

I did get Sense working once yesterday, but I opened it again just now and it didn't load. Therefore the logs from the 25th and 27th should be when it hasn't loaded but the 26th was when it was successful.

Hi Taylor sorry for the delay - support has looked at the issue and they cannot determine exactly what is causing this issue. Are you willing to troubleshoot this some more. They have specific steps they would like you to follow in order to collect more information.

BTW - have you tried this on another machine?

Please let me know.

Hi Mike,

Happy to keep troubleshooting.  I have opened the same app on another computer without any issues so it might be specific to my machine.

OK cool - see the attached document. If you can grab what you can based on what the document describes that would be helpful. You can attach it to this discussion thread. There is definitely something environmental causing this - if you can load this on another machine.

Hi Neil

I had a similar problem that I tracked to ESET antivirus, it maybe your AV software protocol filtering. Perhaps its worth checking this on your AV. Here is a screen shot of what I'm talking about , albeit ESET.

Hi Taylor - just checking in with you. Since we know this is more environmentally related, as you have successfully installed in another environment, do you still want to purse the troubleshooting this? Qlik Support is following up with me and was curious.

Hi Taylor, The snapshot shows a good communication between client and backend service. And it shows that you have already opened [Executive Dashboard.qvf] several times. I am wondering if this is a snapshot when you meet the problem, or this could be just a snapshot when you successfully got into hub? //Bohua

Hi Bohua,

That time had been successful but I thought there may be some log information from previous times I opened Qlik Sense or some indication of what was driving the issue.  I haven't been opening Qlik Sense as much in the last month,but the few times I have its been working.  I plan to start using it more in the next few weeks.  If I encounter this issue again I'll post a new log to this string.

Hi,

I can report a similar situation, the Sense hub works but the any app is blank, caused by AVG anti-virus.

The error message in the javascript console was:

Uncaught Error: Load timeout for modules: assets/client/client

http://requirejs.org/docs/errors.html#timeout

Adding the url http://localhost:4848 as an exception solved the problem.
