cannot lease a license for v11.20sr10

hi all

i am trying to use qlikview to edit some qvw in our new qv server v11.20sr10

everytime i open it, it opens in personal mode.

i tried going through the open through server option.

i tried going through the open in qlikview accesspoint option.

in qmc it has the allow license lease option checked off.  i turned off the allow dynamic option, but i also tried a few time.. where leaving the dynamic option turned on.

i know the usernames are there, in the named user section.  but the weird part is i dont see any cal lease history when i connect

also i am doing this on the server, same server as qmc... so i dont htink its a fw issue.

server 2008 x64

anything else i should look at?

thanks

Hi Jackie,

You can not lease a license from a TEST license.

HI,

When you open the desktop, are you doing "Open in server"? Then open a QVW that is on the server?

Hi,

My said personal addition because it is a new install and I have not open the application, once I open the application I have a lease license.

If you check your LEF and find either one of these in the license you will not be able to lease a license.

TEST_EDITION;YES;;

LICENSE_LEASE;NO;;

If you want to send me a private message with your license number, I can check/test to see if the license is good.

Hi,

also make sure that the license you're trying to lease is not being used by anyone else. This can be causing your issue,

You cannot lease licenses from a test server license. You'll need to lease a license from your production server.
