Acess is denied. EDX task from AJAX

When running an EDX task that launches a batch file from QV desktop everything works as intended; however, when I try running the same action in AJAX through internet explorer I get the below message.

The user I am logged in as has access to that file location.  Is this a browser issue or a windows security issue?

Is the user trying to run the task a member of the QlikView Management API group?

Seems like conventional browser security to me...

It would be a great world if all AJAX code is allowed to execute random batch files on anyones PC. Oh no, we already got a great (insecure) world... Doh.
