Files get corrupt when save to disc

Hi,

This problem has bother me for over 1 year now. We having problem when files is distribute to the fileserver. The files gets corrupt almost every day, not all just one or two. Its not the same files, but most frequent is the big sized files. Whats happens is that the file dont save the whole file to the disc, around 50-95% of the filesize is saved and then the file is corrupt and cant be opened.

I'll think this is some network issue and not a qlikview problem. Because the Publisher server and the fileserver is not on the same machine.

Here is the last part of the logfile:

Thanks Bill,

This is over my knowledge, the whole network is outsourced and really not my area. So I will try to give them some advice where they should have a look.

Hi,

The post about the NAS is correct in that it isn't supported. However, to see if that is the issue, move your root folder back to the local machine and see if your still have the issue.

Hi Bill,

does this rule apply to just the Document Root or to all Qlik files? IIRC some official Qlik training/examination program imposed the storage of configuration and distribution files on shared storage in a Qlik clustered environment, and I don't see why this is suddenly invalid...

The Server Ref manual (for SR10) brings confusing information as well, as on the one hand it explicitly talks about a NAS, and on the other hand it states that only SAN-devices are supported...

Best,

Peter

It isn't so much the NAS as the File system that it uses. Qlik require a Windows based NAS. See the attached. It is a little old, but it might help you.

Hi,

this is definitely a NAS problem, we will a soon as possible move all files from the fileshare back to the disk on qlikview server. Just wait for a larger disc.
