Search Expression (not equal to)

Hi Dears,

I know if I want to select strings include Blue or Red, the search expression should be:

(*Blue*|*Red*)

my question is :

if I want to select strings exclude Blue or Red, what should the search expression be ?

-=(*Blue*|*Red*) is wrong.

Anybody could help?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks anbu.

I know that function.

But just wonder if the expression could get the result (not equal to Blue and Red) directly.

I'm not sure, but maybe you can try <> instead of -=

Hi,

Can you upload a sample. Can't understand where you exactly want it.

I am not aware of syntax that allows excluding values during search.

You can also refer to the QlikView Reference Manual and the Search section (14.10 on p.106 in 11.20 SR10 manual). This specifies the search operators and wildcards.
