Is Qlik required on a client computer to run EDX from a command-line?

Does Qlik have to be installed on a client computer to launch an EDX-enabled task on a Qlik server??

I currently have Qlik 11.2 SR10 on my computer, but am curious as to what the client requirements are to be able to use EDX. It would be great if I didn't need to have Qlik installed on a computer that runs the EDX command-line process..

Thanks!

You do not need the QV installed on the client computer launching the EDX, though you have to be sure that the user/service launching it does have access to do it.

In our case we have the DW launching EDX every time if finishes some of the jobs that feed QV
