Reload option

Hi Guys,

i have recently installed the Qlikview Server i was trying to reload a document from the server with the reload button it says waiting and displays no log file information etc it just goes back to never run and waiting

is because in the script i am telling it to pull in CSV files and it needs to be connected either to a ODBC connection ?

sorr i dont know much about this and there isnt much documentation on it.

thanks in advance

Hi, Have you read the QVapp log file ?

In QVLC : Settings / Document Properties / General / Generate Logfile

hi Martin,

thanks for the response i can only see the logging settings under QMC/ Qlikview Server Settings/ and logging? i cant find where to apply the logging to one document

is this because i do not have the publisher license?

No you'll find this properties into your QlikView Local Client. You use QVLC to develop your QVapp.

Hi Martin,

i have done that but will this only create a log when i run it from an actual Qlikview client and not from the server itself? my client works fine running the update. its the server when you clikc reload.

all thats in the server log file is:

20/08/2010 15:22:07.1459737 Information Request recieved [POST]: http://servername:4750/qvws.asmx

sorry for sounding so thick 😉

Hi,

just thought i would give you an update it appears you must select a schedule option before you press the reload button it will not do a reload without this selection.

other issues i found is if you are pulling in QVD,CSV files from a mapped network drive Qlikview failes to find these drives if you put the data on the local server or on a server that is on the active directory domain it will load it.
