Qlik Sense QMC and Hub do not open

Hi there, I have just installed Qlik Sense 1.0 (server edition) on a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine.

Everything seemed to go fine with this process but when I try to open the QMC to start configuring the system (or even the Hub), the page does not open.

I remember that something similar had happened after installing QlikView .Next 0.90 but, to be honest, I can't remember the solution to that issue...

Many thanks for every suggestion.

I would to sugest to raise a Support Case through our Portal so we can investigate this issue with you direct.

You can try to uninstall, clean up the installation, delete the certificates above, restart the machine and install again. This more of the extreme method. Though, it may be an issue with the administrator permissions as shown in the log file.

Alberto,

I would go first with Pierce comment and if that gives the same issue I would move what Daniel Zanders recommend.

Only Qlik Sense at the moment, but there was QlikView .Next (0.90 and then 0.95)

Björn Wedbratt gave me the right solution.

I just followed the steps he listed out and the qmc is now accessible.

Many thanks to all contributors.

Hello Björn,

I just have the same problem where there no certificates at all exist in MMC. When you display MMC, you just see nothing. Only "Console Root" folder exists but it is empty.

There is nothing else on server. There was beta Sense once but uninstalled now. No QlikView Server also.

What can I do about that? Any ideas?

OS: Windows 2008 R2.

User: Local admin local user.

Regional Format of server: English.

Sometimes you need to remove the old QlikView certificates as well, if you had a QV install on the same machine at one point.   For me, the QlikView Server uninstall did not remove the old QlikView certificates and this was blocking the Repository Service from creating one of the 3 needed Sense certificates.  Once I removed the QlikVIEW certificates and restarted Repo Service it worked.   Very strange, as I didn't think Sense cared about old QlikView certificates, since they are named very different than the Sense certs.

Hi to all,

I've the same problem with a new Sense Server installation, 1.1 version (ERR CONNECTION REFUSED when I try to open QMC or Hub), I've tried to solve with Bjorn Wedbratt suggestions but without results..  Windows 2008 Server R2 SP1, installation without any problem..

Anyone has suggestions?

Thanks a lot

Hi Alberto,,

  1. In Certificates - Current User > Trusted Root Certification Authorities > Certificates, delete the certificate created by QlikSense, issued by your computer, computer.domain-CA
  2. In Certificates > Current User > Personal > Certificates, delete the certificate named QlikClient
  3. In Certificates (Local Computer) > Personal > Certificates, delete the certificate issued by computer.domain-CA.

When i m trying to Do 1st Step, i am not able to see any Qlik Certificates.

in step 2 i m not able to see QlikClient

what does it mean?? does it show my installation is improper??

thanks
