Hi,

QlikView NPrinting is an advanced report generation, distribution and scheduling application for QlikView . It allows organizations to create great looking reports quickly, in a variety of popular formats including Office and PixelPerfect (.PDF), using data and analytics from QlikView. NPrinting ensures that the right reports get to the right people, how and when they need them, either through centralized scheduling and distribution or on-demand requests directly from QlikView apps. With NPrinting, QlikView can serve as a single system for both interactive analytics and reporting, allowing organizations to retire legacy BI and reporting systems and save significant costs.

QlikView NPrinting Designer

NPrinting Designer allows you to develop, test, and run all NPrinting features.

You can create professional Microsoft Office reports containing data and images from your QlikView documents with NPrinting Designer. You can author web ready HTML reports and leverage the value of your existing assets by distributing your QlikView reports via a number of methods. You can set cycles and filters to send everyone precisely the information they should see in the format which best fits your business needs: keep the original format, convert to PDF, multiple image formats, or export to CSV. You can fully run your reporting program with NPrinting Designer from your own computer.

QlikView NPrinting Server

NPrinting Server guarantees up-time to your reporting program. Let it deliver your reports to your recipients via e-mail, by saving them into recipient-specific directories or by publishing them on your websites. Let NPrinting Server make sure your data is always up-to-date and maintain your recipients by scheduling automatic re-loads of new or modified recipients. NPrinting Server includes On- Demand, which allows users to request on-demand the generation of reports or the execution of Tasks from a web-based environment (Ajax, IE plugin, Workbench). Users will be able to apply selections to reports and combine them with existing NPrinting filters. You can also use On-Demand server from your Windows application too.

Hope it is helpful!!

Nprinting desgner lets you create reports.  Nprinting Server is necessary to schedule the reports, provide On Demand buttons in your Dashboard and to process XML files to kick off jobs.  You need the designer to create the reports and need server to schedule them and so on.

Hi,

Can NPrinting Designer be installed and fully functional without NPrinting Server? Or it should be always related to a server?

It will have the same functionality except for schedule automation and On-Demand reporting will not be available.

Without a server, execution of report schedules is a manual process.
