Afaik there is no hard limit on fields in QS. However the script syntax changed slightly when it comes to how it handles whitespaces in fieldnames and reserved words.
Could it that you have a fieldname that matches a script function, like Month, Day etc? If you do, make sure you wrap them in brackets or use quotation marks.
