Auto Zoom in on charts in Sense

Hi,

I have a bar chart with on one dimension and 2 Expressions on it.

The chart is long so the bar at the bottom allows you to scroll.

When I scroll to the small bars, Sense automatically expands the grid on the chart and its easy to read it.

I have other bar charts and I am doing same on them but the auto focus /zoom doesn't work.

Can some please guide me what to do on them?

thanks

Are you referring to Combo chart?  As of now Combo chart doesn't have the same effect like regular Bar chart.

For bar chart you will see a different horizontal scroll which will give you a quick glance of all bars. Where as Combo is just a scroll bar, and it doesn't have that feature.

Hi,

The chart that works fine is below:

You can see that the I have scrolled to the middle of the chart and the "Y" axis have auto zoomed.

Chart below does not work the same.

I am in the middle of the chart and the "y" axis is not auto zooming.

Can you help out on this?

Both charts have the same expression but different dimensions. The second chart was created by copying the first chart. I have tried to create a new chart from scratch as well but it doesn't work.

We can see on the chart that works fine, the scroll bar is in grey colour but on the second chart the scroll bar is multi coloured.

Thanks for trying to help out.

Hmmmm.... Thats odd...

Can you share the QVF? if not can you check by exporting the data and make sure for 0272 through 0542 doesn't have zero for metric value?

Also make sure your Y-Axis doesn't have fixed MIN or MAX.

Simon,

you need to have minimum of 500 rows for the chart to autozoom.

I was told this by R&D team @ qlik and i tried to test on other charts it was correct.

thanks.

I have a bar chart with a very large y-axis scale, therefore some of my bar columns appear small. Is it possible to dynamic show y-axis? So, I can show the y value when its value is small.

I find similar question at Qlik community.
