QlikView Odbc

Hello Qlik's,

I have made a DSN entry in ODBC Administrator. I have also installed Oracle Odbc driver on my system. But i fail to see this new DSN in Qlikview ODBC connect.

Any Suggestions.

Thanks

M

HI Mark,

ensure you that you have the correct option set for 'FORCE 32 Bit' and the you have SHow User DSns checked if applicable.

Hi,

maybe your QlikView installation is 32 bit on Windows 64 bit and your DSN is configured in 64bit driver?

Hi,

Enable force 32-bit(Check box) in script editor.

Thanks Andrew. It worked. But  why force 32Bit. My OS is 64Bit, QV is 64Bit and Driver is also 64 Bit. Any explanation for this ?

If this needed to be checked on, then sounds like you have created a 32bit odbc connection by mistake.

As an addition to correct answer here is a useful link to Oracle ODBC connection and configuration guide

You may use this Oracle ODBC driver for that purpose
