Any specific document to install Qlikview Desktop?

Hi,

I have read an article "Setting up the QlikView Desktop Environment", But it describes how to do settings post installation.But is there any document which tells about installing Qlikivew Desktop Step by Step.

installing qlikview is very simple,

Just download the qlikview setup file from qlik.com(downloads)

Once the download was done, we can double click and select next.

Qlikview desktop will be installed

QV Desktop is just run the exe and follow the on screen steps to complete the installation, you don't really need specific documentation on it

I was going through the best practice,

Development_Location  Desktop_Software_Required  Server_Software_Required      Notes

Locally on Desktop        QlikView Desktop                    n/a                                             Server-based

                                                                                                                                        development is useful for

                                                                                                                                         larger data volumes.

Remotely on Test Server  Windows Remote

                                           Desktop Connection

                                           Client                                     Qlikview Desktop

Here,I am bit confused having Qlikview Desktop in both in both Columns - Desktop_Software_required(Locally on Desktop) and Server_Software_required(Remotely on Test Server). Would like to know the difference.Kindly advice.

in general, will have one desktop version with valid license or leased license from server.

Once the development was done will place the qvw and remaining files in server and will run the task in QMC.

For development sake desktop version was sufficient.

This is what I suggested.Kindly Confirm.

• We would be creating the Dashboards and Reports in Qlikview Desktop(No Server Specified).
• Once Dashboards and Reports are generated, we would be placing the Qvw’s in the respective Source Folders in QA and distribute through Publisher and QMC for Testing
• Once QA Testing is completed, Will be moved to Production Environment.
