Qlik Sense has stopped logging

I run Qlik Sense on a virtual server.  Yesterday we shut down the server, assigned some more memory, then restarted the server.

Today I was looking in the "License Monitor" and the "Operations Monitor" apps and noticed both of their last entries were just before we shut down the server.

Going into the Tasks panel in QMC, I can see the reload tasks for both these apps has the status "Failed", and when I look closer I can see this error (this is from "Reload License Monitor.log";

Any ideas?  All the Qlik services are up and running.

Simon,

Thanks for posting that part of the log.

This issue should be resolved with the latest version of the apps (Sense 2.1.3 or 2.2.0) because I updated the apps to handle logs that are missing fields like the CounterName field.

Can you tell me 1) what version of Sense you are running and 2) if you upgraded from an earlier release?

Thanks!

  1. I'm currently on 2.0.1+Build:46.QSM12-CIGS  Downloaded & installed three weeks ago.
  2. This was a brand-new install (trial version).  We have just bought our first commercial tokens.

Is there an issue if the logging has changed?  I was trying to investigate a user/token curiosity and that would have been really helpful 🙂

Tyler,

I did a fresh install of 2.1.1 (2.1.3 & 2.2.0 don't seem to be available).

I can see the apps in the hub (with updated icons) but both of them now come up with the error "The app you specified could not be found", followed by "Connection Lost" then a "Websocket" error (screenshots below).

The apps are stored in C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Repository\DefaultApps (and are obviously visible to the hub because they show up).

Any ideas?No Apps.png

I don't know what the problem was but I 'solved' it by importing the relevant .qvf files and republishing them (and cleaning up the leftover files).

Weird. I don't know what that was either, but please let us know if you see that again.
