A Generic NPrinting scheduled report

Hello,

kindly can someone help with  these NPrinting questions.

1. Is it possible generate reports directly from QVDs.

2. can I  have a generic report that is sent to different customers with same content on a scheduled basis say every month e.g. claims report for the insurance customers

Thanks and Regards

George

Hi Avinash,

Any previous experience that led you the conclusion that: your QVW reload cannot be done via NPrinting scheduler?

I have always had success with scheduled jobs containing NPrinting Reload Tasks using both Client & Server.

Hi danieljenkins‌  djk

My point is, the NPrinting Scheduler will refresh the NPrinting Reports both from client and server

but the not the actual source QVW  saved in the Qlikview server (except the locally saved QVW)

"NPrinting will reload data into your locally saved QlikView documents. Reload, Partial Reload, and Reduce Tasks can only be run using connections to locally saved QVWs and not over connections through QlikView Enterprise Server or Small Business Edition. "

Hi Avinash,

Good point. Just to clarify: NPrinting will not allow you to create a Reload Task for a QVP accessed QlikView document anyway. In other words, if you have a Reload Task in your NSQ you can add it to a job and schedule it. You can't create a Reload Task for a QVP accessed QVW. You can always create a connection using a UNC path and that can have a Reload Task.

Yes your rite, that's the point I was trying to make, NPrinting will reload data into your locally stored QVW and it will not have access to reload for the Server QVW
