Building a Server for QlikView

We are a Microsoft shop, looking to build out a server for QlikView.

I am fine from an O/S, processor, Memory and disk space perspective.

Looking to find out what else is really required to start development.

Requirements say: web server, Internet Explorer, .Net framework.  Is this really required to start development?

Thanks

You can find the system requirements here: QlikView 11.2 SR10 System Requirements.pdf

You need Windows Server 2008 R2 or upper and .net framework 4 and qlikview server license then in the installation process you can use from qlikview web-server or IIS. You need browser to see the qlikview access-point and qlikview management console.

Are there any concerns about using a Virtual machine?

A lot of companies use a virtual machine for their Qlik server software. Just be sure to use dedicated virtual hardware, so in the heat of the moment the allocated memory does not appear to be claimed by another virtual machine as the moment the Qlik server starts swapping the performance goes to hell.

May you live in interesting times!

no there is not any concern but pay attention to the Onno van Knotsenburg suggestion.
