Qlik Sense server installation

Hi All,

I tried installing qlik sense server on windows server 2012 r2.

During installation, i found an error in Event Viewer "source PostgreSQL cannot be found".

Can anyone tell me what is wrong that i am getting this error and what could be done to successfuly install the QlikSense server.

Are you installing a fresh copy? Meaning previous version is uninstalled and then installing a newer version?

What version are you trying to install? 2.0.4? or 2.1?

I have seen this error most of the times in my event viewer too but that didn't caused any issues. Meaning all my services are running ok and i was able to access HUB & QMC.

Is the install failing, or did you just see the error in the log?

It sounds like you had a data connection set up to a PostgreSQL database that is no longer available. Perhaps the install validates the connections and this one fails the validation.

I had this same issue initially. In my case, I need to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package. I believe that the Qlik Sense installer is trying to detect if this is installed but failing for some reason. Remove Qlik Sense, install the Microsoft package and then reinstall Qlik Sense.

That worked for me.
