Please stop gaming for points

Harshithaharshu

Please stop exploiting holes in the points system to gain points unfairly and with no contribution. You have "collected" over 5000 points in the last 72 hours. This is disrespectful to those who have contributed real effort and talent here, as well as an embarrassment for your employer and colleagues.

Creating fake user profiles and exploiting errors in the site configuration may be admired in a hacker forum, but not here.

This member has been contacted and the account temporarily suspended. Hopefully we can get them re-engaged in a more positive manner. We value all members contributions when they adhere to our guidelines and are helping other members.

Thanks for keeping a watchful eye out for members 'bending the rules' to gain points. If in doubt about something you are posting or another members activity please always free to email me directly: Sara.Leslie@qlik.com.

Some investigations take longer than others and we make every attempt to be fair to all parties.

Best Regards, Sara

Wow, I had no idea something like this was possible .

Could be this character: Harshitha Harshu | LinkedIn‌. Perhaps the employer might be interested to know how this employee puts her 'skills' to use.

Its really very demotivating, I could see many more started joining hands. Sara is aware of it as I inquired her few days back about this loophole.

I think that is the same person. If anyone deserves to be offended it would be you Gysbert, as you have devoted an awful lot of time and effort here. However, I suggest we avoid a mob mentality and keep the conversation on this Forum. I wouldn't want to be the lead in one of those retrospective think pieces "when the internet goes crazy" J

Yeah, that's probably the best thing to do. Well, too late for me. I already tweeted about this. Not likely to lead to a posse though.

I hope one of the community administrators can find the time to do a bit of investigation and take appropriate action.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We are researching this situation and will deal with it in a timely manner. If we find that any member is bending the rules to generate points we will definitely address it.

We do rely heavily on members to help each other but also flag inappropriate content and not following the rules.

Best Regards, Sara
