Displaying a list box as a horizontal list box

I know this is probably a silly question but I want to display a list box as a horizontal list box. I inserted a list box, grabbed it from the bottom to make only one line visible. Then I dragged it across, thinking that would give me multiple horizontal selections. It's not working. Thanks.

You might want to check on the Presentation tab to see if you have Single Column checked.  If so, uncheck it.  You can also set the number of columns you want to view horizontally buy checking the Fixed Number of Columns tab and entering a value in the associated box.

Thank you for the answer, it was very helpful. I have also noticed that, in presentation tab, "Order by Column" needs to be also unchecked.

Though it has some drawbacks for large data.
