Sense 2.0 desktop, installation ends successfully but it doesn't work

Hi all,

I can install Qlik Sense 2.0. successfully but when I start Qlik Sense it doesn't work, the program doesn't open

I’ve already done:

Uninstall Sense Desktop

Delete everything C:\Users\<user profile>\Documents\Qlik

Delete C:\Users\<user profile>\AppData\Local\Temp

Install Desktop using - Right click Run As Administrator on the setup executable

Into C:\Users\Paolo Macchi\Documents\Qlik\Sense\Log\Trace 

I find a log file  IT000775_Start_Engine_2015-06-26.log

In the  task manager there is one QlikSense.exe process running

Someone can help me?

Hi Paolo, thanks for the update - is it safe to assume that "something" in your environment on the other machine caused the installation to fail, we are just not sure what it is yet?

I have seen some uncommon issues where the .NET framework was not 4.5.2, however the new one was not downloaded automatically.

Let me know if you would like to continue to troubleshoot this, or just move on with the new machine can you c an being working with Qlik Sense.

Just Run in Windows Compatibility Mode

Hi Mike,

I think I'll use the "unofficial" computer for now.

Meanwhile I'm going to verify which differences are between the computers...

sorry but I don't get it,

I use an OS  w7 64b, which kind of compatibility should I use?

I went through a similar problem ...

Use Revo Uninstaller Program revomver the current installation

or that already have installed such as .net

- Disable your Antivirus

- Check to Run as board administrator

Run the application - Click the right mouse button and Place to check

"Compatibility Issues"

Windows and will check and you just follow the additional steps

Hi,

Have you tried installing Win 7 SP1?

.NET 4.5.2 requires SP1 according to this page: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42643

Updating to SP1 has resolved similar problems for others.
